How to create an online booking page (step by step)
An online booking page turns "call to book" into "book anytime" — and it takes about an afternoon to set up well. Here's how, step by step.
An online booking page is the single highest-leverage thing a service business can set up. It turns every "can I book?" into a self-serve action that happens at any hour, without a phone call. Here's how to build one properly — it's about an afternoon's work.
1. Define your services
List what people can book: the service name, how long it takes, and the price. Keep it to the things clients actually book — a short, clear list converts better than an exhaustive menu. Set a sensible duration for each; this is what carves up your availability.
2. Set your availability
Tell the page when you're open — your weekly hours, and any days you're off. Add buffers between appointments so you're not booked nose-to-tail, and a minimum notice so nobody books you twenty minutes from now.
3. Connect your calendar
Sync your existing calendar both ways, so bookings land in it automatically and anything already in it blocks that time on the page. This is what prevents double-bookings. Connect every calendar you use.
4. Turn on reminders
Set a confirmation on booking, a reminder 24 hours before, and a nudge on the morning — each with an easy reschedule link. This alone is the biggest cut to no-shows.
5. Add payments or deposits
If it fits your business, collect payment or a deposit at booking. It protects your time and ends invoice-chasing. Connect Stripe or PayPal and turn it on for your highest-value or most-skipped services.
6. Brand it
Add your logo and colours, and — ideally — put the page on your own domain so the whole thing feels like your business, not a borrowed tool. Branded confirmation emails finish the effect.
7. Share it everywhere
The page only works if people find it. Put the link in your Instagram bio, your Google Business Profile, your email signature, your website, your WhatsApp. The more places it lives, the more it books.
That's it
Seven steps, one afternoon, and you've replaced phone tag with a page that books clients while you work.
